This agreement should comply with the Employment Act 2007. Give the employee a signed copy.

THIS CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT is made between [Company Name] ("the Employer"), of [Company Address], and [Employee Full Name] ("the Employee"), of [Employee Address], on [Date].

1. Job title & duties

The Employee is engaged as [Job Title], reporting to [Manager/Title]. Duties are set out in the attached job description and may reasonably be varied.

2. Commencement & type

Employment begins on [Start Date] and continues until terminated under this contract. This is a permanent contract subject to a probation period of [up to 6] months.

3. Place of work & hours

The normal place of work is [Location]. Normal hours are [e.g. 45] per week, [days/times], with overtime handled per the Employment Act and any applicable Wages Order.

4. Remuneration

Gross salary is [KES amount] per month, payable by the [date], less statutory deductions (PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and the Affordable Housing Levy) and any lawful deductions. Benefits: [list].

5. Leave

Annual leave: 21 working days per completed year. Sick, maternity and paternity leave apply per the Employment Act 2007.

6. Termination & notice

Either party may terminate on [28 days'] written notice (7 days during probation), or payment in lieu. Summary dismissal for gross misconduct follows a fair procedure under section 41.

7. Confidentiality & policies

The Employee will keep Employer information confidential and comply with company policies and the employee handbook, as amended.
